Shore To Shore Realty, Inc. established in 1980, has a long
standing presence in Maui's real estate community.
Founder Nobu Agena, former Realtor and
schoolteacher, built
this company slowly - starting with residential property management.
Unfortunately, Nobu passed away in an automobile accident in
2000.
Al Imamura and Van Waki purchased the company from
the family that same year with a promise to Nobu's heirs to
continue Shore To Shore's ongoing reputation of honest,
prompt, and personalized service. Both Van and Al are
Maui gentlemen and Realtors, like Nobu, and both were raised in Maui. At that time Al was employed with another real estate company
in Maui where he had worked for 21 years. Van was also doing real estate
part-time for 10 years while working full-time for a local
newspaper company.
Since taking over the reins in 2000, Al and Van have
nurtured Shore To Shore Realty, Inc. to become a major
factor in real estate property management and sales. The
inventory of rentable properties has grown to over 400
units. To support the growth, the staff has increased to
five full-time employees, from the
initial three.
The offices of Shore To Shore Realty,
Inc. has moved twice, requiring larger moving space.
The sales personnel has also grown tremendously. Initially
with only Al and Van as licensed Realtors, Shore To Shore
Realty Inc. now has over 30 licensed Realtors who diligently
work with owners to market their property and buyers to find
the home or condo of their dreams.
The sales team is a mixed
bag of eclectic professionals with various experience and
backgrounds.

work diligently in providing the best service to whomever
